I’m Sav: Baker/Bad-Word-Sayer/Owner of The C Word Cakery.

I’m a plant-based baker in Kansas City, Missouri serving up good cake and bad words. I’ve been cooking for people my whole life, and my business is a product of my love for food, humor, art, and community.

After working in various kitchens over the years, I decided to take a chance on doing my own thing. Through The C Word I have been able to take my creativity and cake wizardry to a new level, maintain my ethics, and explore new ways to help the community and planet. My goal is to create cake that tastes amazing, is friendly to the earth, and that doesn’t take itself too seriously. In my kitchen we never use any artificial colors or flavors, the packaging is all plant-based/compostable, we use all organic sugar and fair trade cocoa. Making food shouldn’t cause anybody or anything harm. It’s fuckin’ cake. It’s the happiest food on the planet.
